Dear friend and partner,
What an exciting year we have had here in Porcupine, SD. It has been nothing short of an incredible testament to the faithfulness of our God through the ministry work of Čhankú Wašté Ranch and our partners. God’s faithfulness is nothing new at all but there are times I am caught in complete amazement at who He is and what He is doing before us.
This year has been such a demonstration of an amazing God who is faithful beyond what we can fathom. He knows where we are weak and meets us there with strength. He knows where we lack and has met us with provision.
Ministry here would be so much harder and not nearly as fun without the many volunteers who have come beside us, serving in different capacities from week to week. Some of those volunteers come for many weeks at a time, serving with us for a whole season of their lives. This allows us as a ministry team to pour so much more into our family and church family, even during the busiest of times. Thank you to those who have given months of their lives to serve with us. Much of the strength in our organization is because of the full-time ministry team that the Lord has truly put together to serve here. The lanes of ministry would not operate as well as they do without the faithful service of those He called to give their lives here. My heart is truly overwhelmed at the people God has put in my life.
This year has been like no other. Yes, there is the normality of the calendar and the teams coming to work with us. And there is the normality of the struggles to meet such a great need that lies in front of us within our community. But God, rich in His mercy and grace, has demonstrated Himself beyond the normality of our plans. I am not surprised. Whatever God orders, He pays for. Not just in money, but in everything needed to accomplish His purposes. He gives creativity, resources, wisdom, and yes, the energy to complete it.
We press on in this work to give everyone in our community access to a restored life. A fully restored life only comes through a transformable relationship with Jesus. For that truth to become accessible, many other areas of restoration are needed. So, we will continue to look for ways to bring restoration to our community, trusting that some will be fully restored in Jesus’ name.
I am blessed beyond measure that God would call me to be a part of this great ministry and to have so many amazing people in my life.
My heart is full.
